Thought Bubble
Drawing Self Portrait and Photograph of You!Part One - Drawing
1. Create a line drawing of either a thought bubble(s) or an extension of your hair going up above your head. You will fill the hair/thought bubble(s) with images, food, logos, sport items, words, and other items that help define who you are. Don't draw your face it's only the top of your head, see example to the right. MUST draw 6+ items.
2. Draw your idea out on manilla paper.
3. Draw your final idea out on the white paper
4. Outline the drawing with black sharpie marker.
5. Add color but leave the background/negative space white.
6. Scan image
HOW TO USE THE SCANNER - For Drawing
1. Connect the scanner (USB) to your laptop
2. Open Preview on laptop (from applications)
3. Open scanner lid and place drawing on the scanner
4. File > Input from Scanner > EPSON Perfection 1260
5. Window will open select SCAN
6. Select location to SAVE (desktop)
7. If your colors on your scanned image are dull move it into iPhoto>Edit>Quick Fixes>Enhance
Part Two - Take a Picture
1. Take a picture of yourself, you could include an object that would also help to define you. Be sure to take the picture on a plain background (it makes removing it a lot easier).
Part Three - Photoshop
1. Remove all the background within the drawing (use magic eraser tool) you only want to have your thought bubble or your hair.
2. Remove the background (use magic eraser tool) from the image you took of yourself
3. Find a fun background image online to place yourself into
4. Place all 3 images (1) thought bubbles/hair (2) portrait of self and (3) background into one window in photoshop
Turning it:
Include all 3 images (1) thought bubbles (2) portrait of self and (3) background.
Final image must be labeled --Last Name
