Assignments:
Grading
All 4th grade students receive a grade twice a year, January and June. There are 18 weeks per semester, that should be a total of 18 times your student has art but with holidays/vacations/sick days/snow days, it's less than that. First marking period most students will receive a "2" which means they are showing normal growth towards mastery. All year long the three areas of art are being accessed through different projects.
"Mastery" A student's understanding of art concepts/techniques at their grade level that demonstrates a deep understanding of the art standards and application of their knowledge within each project.
