I can capture my subjects personality and pull the viewer in to further explore the portrait.
Select one classmate to photograph for this assignment. You are capturing more than just a smiling face, your images should reveal your subject's personality or attitude. This can be conveyed through body language, expressions, dress, environment, mood, etc... Feelings are expressed through your subjects facial expressions. A strong portrait contains a strong emotional quality with a greater understanding of the subject.

Things to think about:
- Lighting, backgrounds, depth of field, composition, and color.
- Shooting at eye level creates a more intimate experience for the viewer.
- Use different angles and perspectives (POP).
- Be aware of negative space within the viewfinder.
- Vertical and Horizontal images.
- Careful with an aperture below f/4.
- Use rule of 1/3.
- Ideally you want your subject to fall into a pose but you might have to help them. Props can be used also take candid shots.
- Styles, close-up, torso and full body, and environmental.
- Lighting is very important indoors and out.
- You will make a connection with your subject portrait photography is all about your subject not the photographer, make them comfortable and you will get the shot you are trying to achieve.

- Reflection - Write about your top two images (should be completely different) place the image into your document - What emotional qualities were you able to capture? How is your subject personality express through the image? What was your greatest challenge and success with this image? (save as pages or pdf)
