AutoFocus Modes: There are three different types, One Shot, Al Servo and Al Focus.
- One Shot/AF-S is used for subjects that are being perfectly still and won’t be moving in any way.
- Al Servo/AF-C is for shooting an object that might move.
- Al Focus/AF-A will automatically switch your camera from One Shot/AF-S (when you have a stationary subject) to Al Servo/AF-C (a moving subject) if the subject moves any.
Focal point: The camera’s autofocusing system looks at all nine autofocus points when trying to establish focus. Usually, the camera sets focus on the point that falls over the object closest to the lens. When you select manual selection (dial mode must be on TV/AV/M) you can move the focal point around to the nine different points.
