Texture with LineI can use colored lines to create implied texture within my owl drawing.
Students will use simple shapes to create the outline of their owl on black paper. Color Sticks by ™Crayola will be used to add line/color giving the owl a textured look. Last week we created a silhouette of an owl, in this drawing we will give our owls realistic qualities. The color selection will be fun and whimsical, not realistic. Line is one of the seven Elements of Art. A line is an mark created by a point moving across the paper or any space. It varies in size, width, direction, and length. Lines often define the edges of a form. Lines can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, straight or curved, thick or thin.
